Twelve Gates Foundation is active where religious differences and affiliations fuel conflict. These areas are precisely where negligence, apathy and lack of cooperation, or, worse yet, outright incitement to violence, create severe harm and suffering among the people affected.
The best antidote to these forces of conflict is responsible religious leadership aimed at taming unprincipled passions and guiding followers to mature faith and the ability to live peacefully in a world of diverse religious beliefs. Twelve Gates works with religious leaders and communities to encourage this peace-building behavior and to mediate engagement and collaboration across the boundaries that give rise to conflict.
