• Ph.D. degree in Linguistics, Cognitive Linguistics Institute of Linguistics of the Academy of
  Sciences of the USSR.
• The examining committee, Moscow and Saint Petersburg Universities, unanimously
  recommended publication of my thesis.
• Book, “Conceptual Structures and their Role in Formation of Different Units of the Language”
  published by the Academy of Sciences of Russia in 1993.
• 1973 to 1978 instructor and later lecturer in Linguistics, Minsk State Pedagogical University.
• 1995 appointed full professor Department of General Linguistics Minsk State Linguistic
  University, chairman from 1993 to 1996
